L’exposition Banquet d’images, organisée par de l’École nationale supérieure d’art et de design de Nancy | Ensad Nancy en partenariat avec le Jardin botanique Jean-Marie Pelt à Villers-lès-Nancy et en lien avec la Société centrale d’horticulture de Nancy | SCHN, présente les travaux des étudiantes et des étudiants de 1ère année de l’option Art.
Cette année, la thématique abordée concernait notre relation à la consommation de plantes, essentielles à notre survie. En 1825, Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin écrit dans Physiologie du goût : « Dis-moi ce que tu manges et je te dirai qui tu es. »
Il démontre que nos habitudes alimentaires reflètent nos valeurs, notre culture et nos convictions personnelles. Il met en évidence le lien étroit entre l’identité personnelle et l’acte d’intégrer la nourriture, tout en invitant à penser l’expérience culinaire comme une pratique ritualisée.
Sous la conduite d’Andrea Keen, professeure de photographie à l’Ensad Nancy, les jeunes créateurs et créatrices ont été invités à mettre en images ces rapports complexes.
